To get the best from your reading with Paul, whether in person or by phone, there are a few things you can do yourself to help the reading be accurate and useful for you.
Firstly, when the reading is about to start take a moment to centre yourself and prepare yourself to receive the guidance you need at this time, mentally ask Spirit for their guidance through Paul. You will need to have an open mind and an open heart to receive the information Paul presents to you, it may or may not be what you want to hear, but it will actually be what you need to hear. Let go of any attachment to any particular outcome and desire only the truth.
Do not feel you need to test Paul - his readings are accurate, and without having to tell Paul information, he will be able to accurately see your situation, often from a soul level. He will then offer you guidance as to how you need to proceed at this time. By all means be discerning in what you take from your reading, and bear in mind the future hasn't happened yet and sometimes it is only after time has passed from the reading that you fully understand all of it. If you are open to the messages Paul brings through, you will find that they also contain a great healing energy with them and your openness will allow this healing to affect you more deeply.
When Spirit comes through it may or may not be who you expected or wanted to connect with, we can't call up spirit at our convenience, though often who you wish to communicate with, is also trying to communicate with you.
